Jerry Sonnenberg
Jerry Sonnenberg has been farming and ranching in northeastern Colorado his entire life. He continues to live and work on the same family farm that both his father and he were raised. He was first elected to the House in 2006, and moved to the Senate 8 years later. [node:read-more:link]
Janne Myrdal
Senator Myrdal was first elected in 2016, she is a farmer and a native of Norway but is now a U.S. citizen. She has been involved in public policy issues since her arrival in the US in the early 1980s. Myrdal also raises and shows American Quarter horses. [node:read-more:link]
John Patterson
Representative Patterson is currently serving in his fourth term in the Ohio House. He taught U.S. History at Jefferson Area High School for 29 years also serving as the Model United Nations advisor, coaching teams to many honors. Patterson is a member of the SRL Board. [node:read-more:link]
Mike Gabbard
Senator Gabbard was first elected in 2006 and serves as chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Environment. Besides his extensive experience as a teacher, counselor, headmaster of a private school, college administrator, restaurant owner, and tennis pro, Mike is an accomplished musician/songwriter. Terry Goodin
Goodin called “the hardest-working representative at the Statehouse, was first elected in 2000. With a doctorate in education from Indiana University, he is the superintendent of Crothersville Community Schools and raises beef cattle on the family farm. Mary Gonzalez
Representative González is serving her fourth term in the House and Vice Chair for the Mexican American Legislative Caucus, Secretary of the House Border Caucus, and Chair of the House LGBTQ Caucus. She was elected to serve as is the Vice Chair of the national Board of Hispanic Caucus Chairs. She is pursuing her Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction- Cultural Studies in Education.
