The Legislative Ag Chairs Summit is the number one meeting for legislators whose major focus is agriculture and rural communities. It is the only conference of its kind for state and provincial policy-makers.
This is an invitation-only meeting. Registration costs, meals and rooms (for three nights) for elected officials will be covered by SARL. The agenda for the 2011 meeting includes discussions on changing environmental regulations, animal welfare, agriculture sustainability, future Farm Bills, low carbon fuel standards, redistricting, youth education and more.
Each program focuses on critical topics in agriculture and rural development that are facing state officials.
