SARL’s 2026 Legislative Agriculture Chairs Summit will take place January 3-5, 2026, in the heart of New Orleans, LA (NOLA), close to many of NOLA’s iconic sites. All legislators with a passion for agriculture and rural communities are invited to participate! SARL covers hotel and all on-site expenses for legislators and can assist with travel for those without a travel budget. Due to how the holidays fall in 2026, the Summit will start at noon on Saturday, January 3rd with lunch and then exciting program sessions. The working Agenda can be found here. Exciting site tours unique to Louisiana will take place on the morning of Monday, January 5th and the event will close with a grab-and-go lunch by 12:30pm day.
Since 2002, the Legislative Agriculture Chairs Summit has brought together state and provincial elected officials from across the U.S. and Canada to learn, engage and network with their peers who share similar challenges, passion and a commitment to ensuring a sustainable future for agriculture and rural communities.
