Summit 2018 Registration

This is an invitation-only Summit, and all on-site expenses (room, registration and meals) for elected officials are covered by State Agriculture and Rural Leaders, a federal 501 c(3) non-profit. There are also travel scholarships for those without state or campaign funds for transportation.

We always begin the Summit with some site visits of regional interest. In Kansas City that includes optional visits on Thursday to the Kansas City Ford plant (the largest automotive plant in the United States) or the BNSF Logistics Park Kansas City, a world-class inland port. On Friday, participants will have another opportunity to tour the Kansas City Ford Plant, or the BNSF Logistics Park (along with a visit to the Veterans Community Project, a nonprofit organization, on a mission to eliminate Veteran homelessness), or to make a visit to St. Joseph, Missouri, home to Lifeline Foods, a producer owned corn milling/processing facility for food ingredients and ethanol production, and the Holladay Distillery, the oldest Distillery west of the Mississippi, or to the Kansas City manufacturing plant for Greenies dog and cat treats and the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas CIty money musuem (also paired with a visit to the Veterans Community Project. You can not participate in all of these and will have to make choices on your registration.

Note: Attendance at the LAC Summit is by invitation only. Registration is not complete until you have received a confirmatory email. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours, please contact corr@agandruralleaders.org or (765) 893-8209.
